One Life Studios celebrates 10 years with strong global expansion

Indian independent media conglomerate One Life Studios (OLS) officially announced a series of major operational milestones and international partnerships to mark the tenth anniversary of its founding. Over the past decade, the Mumbai-based production, acquisition, and distribution house has built a syndication portfolio comprising more than 750 premium Indian content titles.
As part of its long-term growth strategy, the company is diversifying into new digital formats and programming genres. OLS confirmed it has finalized the acquisition of more than 500 vertical-format Indian microdramas for global distribution, establishing one of the largest specialized short-form libraries in the region. Additionally, the studio announced it will formally unveil a brand-new original animation intellectual property (IP) at the upcoming MIPJunior market in Cannes, broadening its reach into the children’s entertainment sector.
Expanding international syndication networks
Under the leadership of its syndication division, headed by Shashank Singh, One Life Studios has secured multiple new linear and digital licensing agreements across emerging markets:
Southeast Asia: The drama series Dhruv Tara (originally commissioned by Sony TV in India) has been licensed to broadcaster IMC-TV Today in Vietnam. The title recently won “Most Favorite Foreign Film” at the 2025 Vietnam Ngôi Sao Xanh (Face of the Year) Awards, where lead actors Ishaan Dhawan and Riya Sharma also secured the top acting accolades.
West Africa: The award-winning historical epics Porus and Chandragupta Maurya have been syndicated to Atinka TV in Ghana, continuing the studio’s expansion across the African continent.
Dang Thi Hong, Program Acquisition Manager at Vietnam’s International Media Joint Stock Company (IMC-TV Today), validated the partnership, stating that the studio’s world-class storytelling consistently resonates across distinct cultural demographics.
Vertical content transition and corporate marketing restructuring
The strategic acquisition of over 500 vertical microdramas positions OLS as an early mover in India’s emerging short-form, mobile-first entertainment sector. These quick-narrative, episodic series are designed specifically for smartphone consumption and will be deployed across multiple global digital platforms to capture younger, highly engaged demographics.
To support this multi-format expansion and amplify its corporate narrative on the international stage, Founder and Chief Storyteller Siddharth Kumar Tewary confirmed the appointment of MJ Sorenson, CEO and Founder of New York-based MJ Global Communications LLC (MGC), to lead the studio’s global public relations and marketing initiatives. Sorenson, an industry veteran with executive experience at MTV Networks, the International Emmy Awards, and RX/MIPCOM, will oversee the strategic positioning of OLS’s award-winning catalog—which includes acclaimed properties like the mythological series RadhaKrishn and the digital social-media thriller Escaype Live—across Western and Pan-Asian television markets.
